म्यांमार में रोहिंग्या मुसलमानों पर बर्मा सरकार द्वारा किए जा रहे अत्याचार के चलते बीते महीने देश में करीब 400 लोग मारे गए।
बीते डेढ़ हफ्ते के अंदर राखाइन प्रांत रोहिंग्या मुसलमानों के 1,200 घरों को तोड़ दिया गया और 700 घरों को आग लगा दी गई।
रोहिंग्या मुसलमान म्यांमार छोड़ कर बांग्लादेश में शरण लेने के लिए मजबूर हो रहे हैं।
26 अगस्त को म्यांमार के सैनिकों ने उनके गांव में बच्चों पर गोलीबारी की थी। इस मामले में सोशल मीडिया पर लोग रोहिंग्या मुसलमानों के समर्थन में जुट रहे हैं और सरकार की इस कार्रवाई को अमानवीय बता रहे हैं।
म्यांमार की नेता आंग सान सू के ख़िलाफ नॉर्वेजियन नोबेल समिति में एक ऑनलाइन याचिका दाख़िल कर रोहिंग्या नरसंहार पर चुप्पी और सहभागिता के लिए उनसे नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार वापस लेने की मांग की है।
